Vantage Points: History in Movement with Parsifal James Hurst.Dancer Parsifal James Hurst, as part of his project History in Movement,
develoa creative exploration and interpretation of the Battle of Bannockburn. Retracing the steps of the Scots, led by Robert the Bruce, Parsifal's dance performance takes place at a series of key locations in East Stirlingshire, from the Torwood, to Milton Ford and the Carse, to the grounds of the NTS Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre.
Vongayi's story: Life after loss (2021)
When Vongayi found out she was expecting twins, she never could have anticipated the difficult journey that would unfold. When her son, Rylan, passed away at just 19 days old, Vongayi turned to Amma for support in navigating life after loss.
Vantage Points: Meet the Artists and Pilot Projects in May 2021
Scene Stirling launched the Vantage Points - Bannockburn and East Stirling Creative Network project in December 2020 and created a steering group composed of local artists/creatives, and cultural organisations operating in the areas, primarily Bannockburn House, Macrobert Arts Centre, and Stirling University.
Vantage Points Summer Event @ Bannockburn House (2021)
The second phase of the Vantage Points project builds on the experience gathered through the pilot projects, and has seen a group of 6 local artists working with the community in the Eastern Villages during the summer, towards a celebratory event on Sunday 22nd August 2021. This is a short highlights video of the event, featuring our Woodland Trail exhibition, creative activities with the Vantage Points artists, and tours of Bannockburn House.
